Mission Statement

The Los Angeles Arts Climate Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability in the arts. We bring together artists, organizations, and cultural workers to share knowledge, inspire action, and promote climate-conscious practices across the creative sector.

Our Story / Background

We began in 2021 as the LA chapter of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC), a collection of artists and cultural workers in Los Angeles with a shared concern about the climate crisis and the arts sector’s role in it. From artist studios to large-scale institutions, we saw an opportunity to build a collaborative network that could drive environmental progress from the ground up. In 2024, the organization became independent and was renamed the Los Angeles Arts Climate Coalition (LAACC).
